School of The Good Shepherd is one of three schools in the Good Shepherd Parish. Please view the Catchment Area Map for each school prior to enrolling.
Foundation Enrolment
Children must turn 5 years of age before 30 April in the year they are commencing school. Enrolment applications for children to attend School of the Good Shepherd will be accepted in the year prior to the child beginning school. In June of that year, the Principal will meet with all newly enrolled families.
Kinder-Prep Transition Program
Stage 1: Tours
All group school tours will take place on the 20th February at 9:45am OR 12 pm and on the 22nd February at 9:45am OR 12pm.
Stage 2: Enrolments open
Applications to be lodged at School Office with all relevant documents form the 1st March 2024 and close on 29th March 2024.
Stage 3: Enrolment Meetings & Offers Made
Each family and their child is offered the opportunity to meet with the Principal to discuss the enrolment. It is a time to understand more about each student and family. Parents are then sent a letter of offer.
Stage 4: Information Night
Parents will be required to attend an Information Night once their child has been accepted to School of the Good Shepherd. This will give you an insight into life at our school.
Stage 5: Transition Days
In November/December, students will be expected to attend 3 transition mornings where they will work with Prep teachers and experience life as a Prep child. During this time, parents will be asked to stay and attend a series of information sessions that will provide further information around life at School of the Good Shepherd.
Stage 6: First Day of School 9:00am- 1:00pm
During February, Prep students will attend from 9:00-3:30 each day EXCEPT WEDNESDAYS. On one of these Wednesdays, your child will meet with their classroom teacher for 45 minutes for literacy and/or numeracy testing.
Stage 7: Normal school routine
Years 1-6 Enrolment
Enrolment in other year levels can be made at any time and will be accepted throughout the year, subject to vacancies. Tours can also be arranged at any time. Enrolment forms are available to download or by contacting us.
An application fee of $100 is payable when the form is lodged with the School.
